Privacy Policy — Geem

Overview

Geem (قييم, the “app”) is an Arabic trivia party game operated by CoreCode (“we,” “us”). This policy explains what we collect and why. You can play most of the game with no sign-up; some features — online multiplayer and the leaderboard — involve an account.

Accounts & sign-in

• Anonymous by default. To let you start instantly, the app creates an anonymous account via Firebase Authentication. It is a random identifier and holds no personal information.
• Optional Google / Apple sign-in. You may sign in with Google or Apple to save your progress across devices and appear on the leaderboard. When you do, we receive the email tied to that account and a unique account ID. With Sign in with Apple you can use Apple’s “Hide My Email” so we only ever see a private relay address.
• Display name. You choose a display name (username) that is shown to other players in online rooms and on the leaderboard.

What we collect and why

• Display name / username — shown to other players in an online room and on the leaderboard.
• Email — only if you sign in with Google or Apple; used to identify your account (Apple may relay a private address).
• Account ID — a unique identifier for your account.
• Online game activity — scores, leaderboard rating, and games you’ve played, linked to your account so we can show rankings and your own history.
• Reports you file — if you report or block another player, we store that report (who reported, who was reported, and the room) so we can review it for safety.
• Questions you submit (community questions) — if you choose to submit a question to Geem, we store the question text, its answer options, and your display name, linked to your account. We use this to review the question, show it to other players if it is approved, credit your reward, and show you your own submissions. Submitting is optional.

What we do NOT collect

• No ads and no advertising identifier (IDFA). We do not track you across other apps or websites.
• No third-party analytics or telemetry SDKs.
• Custom categories, custom questions, game and team names, and any audio, video, or photos you import stay on your device and are never sent to us. Submitting a question to the community, above, is a separate and optional choice.

Online play

Online modes connect to our game server (geem.tv). Play is server-authoritative: your device sends game inputs and your display name, which is visible to the other players in the same room. Questions come from our online question bank.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed by the Apple App Store; we never see your payment details. Apple confirms each purchase to our server, and we keep a record of what your account bought so your purchases follow your account across devices, restore correctly, and are removed if refunded. Your choices & deleting your account

• You can keep playing anonymously and never sign in.
• You can delete your account at any time in Settings ▸ Delete account. This removes your data from our servers and deletes your sign-in account.

Third parties

We use Firebase Authentication (Google) for sign-in and account identity, and the Apple App Store for purchases. We do not sell your data.

Children

The app is rated 4+. It is not directed at children under the age at which consent is required, and beyond an optional display name it does not collect personal information from children.

Changes

If we change this policy materially we will update the date above and, where reasonable, post a notice in the app.
